  • Rose Mary

    Rose Mary is a Croatian and Italian inspired restaurant in West Loop. Make a reservation in advance and make sure to order the cacio e pepe and zucchini fritters!

  • Pequod's Pizza

    Pequod’s is consistently voted the best deep dish pizza in Chicago. If you can’t make it over here during your stay, we also recommend Giordano’s and Lou Malnati’s.

  • Daisies

    Our favorite pasta in the city! Head over to Logan Square to walk around the neighborhood and enjoy some delicious, seasonal pastas.

  • Au Cheval

    Head over to Au Cheval for our favorite burger in the city! If you can’t make it to the West Loop location during your stay, stop by any Small Cheval location for a similar burger!

  • Cindy's Rooftop

    Cindy’s Rooftop is home to one of the best views in Chicago! It is the perfect spot to stop for a drink. Make reservations in advance if you would like to dine here— it is a popular spot!

  • Johnnie's Beef

    This is Adam’s favorite restaurant of all time. Make the drive out to Elmwood Park for the famous Italian Beef sandwich. Adam loves their combos (an Italian beef AND Italian sausage sandwich) with sweet peppers.

Our Favorite Things To Do

  • Lincoln Park

    There is so much to do in Lincoln Park! Check out the Lincoln Park Zoo, pop into the Lincoln Park Conservatory, or take an afternoon walk— all of which are free!

  • Museums

    There are so many world-class museums in the city. Mary Jo loves The Art Institute and Shedd Aquarium. Adam loves the Museum of Science and Industry and Field Museum.

  • The Second City

    Second City is Chicago’s famous improv comedy theater. Famous alumni of Second City include Stevel Carell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Stephen Colbert, and more.

  • The 606

    Head over to this multi-use recreational trail for a long walk! There are plenty of places along the route to stop for food and drinks.

  • Chicago Lakefront

    Chicago boasts 26 miles of lakefront. Check out one of the many beaches— Oak Street and North Ave. are easy to get to from The Loop!

  • Chicago Views

    Take in some city views from Skydeck Chicago at the Willis Tower or 360 Chicago at the John Hancock Building! The John Hancock Building is also home to Cloud Bar— a bar on the 94th floor!
